European Holdiay: 3 Essentials to Bring in Your Bag

Susan, a DDP reader, recently asked what she should take on her European holiday.  So lucky for me, my sis is spending the summer in Europe and serves as the perfect trend scout.  According to my sis, all the cool kids are wearing: 1) Maxi Dress, 2) Gladiators, 3) Harem Pants.

So with summer sale season in effect, here are affordable options that fit the bill.

I'm a big fan of jersey maxi dresses when traveling. Velvet makes very body flattering ones ($108).  Try this one.  

Harem pants can be tricky. Although the voluminous ones are trendy, I would advise more form fitting ones. I like this one. It has a slimming effect and great for lots of walking.  Finally, with gladiators being the "it" shoe for 2 seasons in a row, there are a ton up for grabs.  Since European travel requires a lot of walking, spending a bit more for a comfortable shoe might make sense.  Free People has a ton in the $100 range that work.
